Shortly after receiving our award for Best Use of Search at the Big Chip Awards, the 11 Out Of 10 team is up for another award at the Some Comms Awards 2011. This social media award is for agencies that show a consistent great understanding and use of social media with their clients.

The Some Comms Awards is in its second year of celebrating the best in UK Social Media. This event recognises the ‘Mavericks’ and ‘Pioneers’ who are revolutionising the use of online to communicate in cool and innovative ways. There are 18 categories and have some of the biggest names in UK communications on this year’s judging panel, such as Martine Edgell, Digital Communications Specialist at Mercedes-Benz Cars and Charlotte Thompson, Head of Media and Audience Engagement at the BBC.

Our social media strategy for Pure Gym has developed over a number of years and the social media community has reached over 15,000 fans/followers in 18 months. We run various campaigns for Pure Gym as well as act as the face of their online presence.

The Some Comms Awards will be held at the Manchester Hilton Hotel, on the 19th October 2011.

Wish us luck!

Big Chip Award Winners

Oops…We did it again!

For the second consecutive year 11 Out Of 10 have won a Big Chip Award, this time a for raising the on-line profile of Pure Gym. The winning submission won the category of “Best Use Of Search” for demonstrating outstanding results on SEOPPC and Social media work.

The Big Chip Awards are far and away the biggest independent digital awards outside London, and one of the longest running such events in the UK. This year the Big Chip competition closed with a record number of 258 submissions, from 155 different agencies. Salford Business

11 Out Of 10 are pleased to announce that we were runners up at the Salford Business Awards in the Innovation Category.

The award ceremony took place at the Lowry Hotel and a lot of the focus of the night was on the bright future of Salford as businesses celebrated surviving the recession and looked forward to the investment and regeneration work that will be taking place in the city, a highlight of which is the BBC moving to media city.

The winning submission was won by Mister Blister, who is a leading thermoforming packaging company and interestingly enough – a long time customer of 11 Out Of 10.

Although, 11 Out Of 10 may not have won the award itself on the evening, we take great pride in being voted “runner up” in such a highly thought of award ceremony, especially with so many cutting edge businesses all competing just to be shortlisted.

11 Out Of 10 are proud to announce that they have once again been shortlisted for a prestigious business award.

This time it’s for the 2011 Salford Business Awards, which will take place at the Lowry Hotel on the 7th April 2011.

The nomination is for our innovative work with our client Pure Gym, and follows close on the heels of winning the Prestigious 2010 Big Chip Awards for Best eBusiness.

Pure Gym is a new concept in the leisure industry: a 24/7, contract free, no frills gym based in the heart of UK cities and this concept is underpinned by a new online management system developed by 11 Out Of 10.

Client memberships can be completed within a matter of minutes – in the comfort of a client’s home or in the gym foyer – and thereafter entry can be gained with immediate effect. The new system dispenses with the need for reception staff, card readers or any paper based systems to be employed. Gym membership is open 24/7 and all barriers to signing up at any time of the day have been removed.

Whilst being nominated a finalist is an incredible achievement in its own right, winning a Salford Business Award would provide valued recognition and mean so much to the 11 Out Of 10 team, who conduct most of their business in and around the Manchester and Salford city areas.

Big Chip - PureGym

The Judges Said

“For the first time this year, this category combined entries from both classic ecommerce businesses and companies that were using the web or mobile to deliver or significantly enhance their performance: quite a challenge to judge. However, the judges felt that the winner had applied an interesting online commercial model to a traditional offline leisure business and provided excellent evidence of how this had transformed the operation.”

Entrant’s Description

Pure Gym is a new concept in the leisure industry: a 24/7, contract free, no frills gym based in the heart of UK cities: This concept is underpinned by a new online management system. Processes that required human intervention or that hindered clients accessing facilities have been replaced by automated user-friendly procedures. The Pure Gym system is now being rolled out to support 20 more new gyms. The competitive advantage for Pure Gym is tremendous. Rival enterprises have recognised the danger posed by this new system and are now investing heavily in order to compete on price and service.
